The RGS always needs help! Volunteers help in the Store, serve on the Committee, contribute to the members’ news Update and Bulletin, assist with the Shows and generally keep the allotments safe – both now and for the future.
The time commitment is as little or as much as you can offer – the rewards are manifold, including a wealth of gardening experience to draw upon.
If you can spare some time, either on a regular basis or just now and again – helping at the Shows for example – please email the Society giving your daytime telephone number.

“GARDEN PARTNERS” (Wandsworth Age UK)
Garden Partners is a garden-share scheme that matches people over the age of 60 who would like help to manage their gardens, with volunteers who tend the garden regularly in return for their own growing space.
The partners form a team to plan how the garden will develop and share in any fruit or vegetables grown.
The scheme will match garden owners, who gain a greater enjoyment in their garden and volunteers who share in the benefits of gardening and making contact with others. You don’t need to have a lot of gardening experience to volunteer. Enthusiasm, energy, commitment and a willingness to work positively and sensitively with the garden owner are most important.
For more information, please call the Garden Partners coordinator on 020 8877 8946 or email Sue Sweeney.
