Twice a year the RGS holds a seasonal show.
Members of the Society and other interested local gardeners are encouraged to show flowers, fruit and vegetables whilst the cooks display their prowess with seasonal ingredients. The classes are judged according to Royal Horticultural Society rules and prizes and cups can be won, but most of all the show is a celebration of the wonderful and delicious produce from our allotments.
Local residents are welcomed on the day of the Show to view the entries, buy plants and produce and enjoy homemade cakes and tea – outside if the weather is kind. There is also the opportunity to bid for produce in the auction at the end of the show.
Please come to support the Society and participate in an event that dates back to the 1870s – help us to keep it going.
